Role responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to develop detailed designs and documentation for municipal services and rural water supply projects.
- Create and maintain 3D & Revit models, drawings, and details.
- Ensure that the details developed are technically feasible.
- Produce accurate and complete construction documents that meet project requirements and standards.
- Review and check drafting work to ensure accuracy and completeness of project documentation.
- Communicate with project team members to ensure effective project coordination.
- Follow company standards and procedures for quality control, documentation, and project management.
- Keep up to date with industry standards and technology advancements in Revit software and add on packages.
Minimum requirements
- 3 to 5 years experience in Modelling civil / structural infrastructure in the context of municipal services for water supply, sewer and road infrastructure
- Experience modelling and detailing reinforced concrete.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex technical nature.
- Able to learn and to develop new skills and workflows for new digital tools.
- Ability to work on fast paced design and construct projects.
- Sound knowledge or expertise in 3D engineering design software : Autodesk Civil3D, REVIT
- Effective Communicator.
Skills and characteristics
- B.Tech. or N.Dip. will be advantageous.
- Have experience in using the following software : Civil Designer, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoDrainage, Prokon, Navisworks, Infraworks, ACC (a.k.a BIM360)
- Knowledge of structures design and construction principles.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
