Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our team, responsible for extracting, transforming, and presenting data from accounting and payroll systems, with a specific focus on Sage.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, and load data from accounting and payroll systems, primarily Sage, using SQL.
• Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards in Excel, Power BI, and other relevant reporting tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Query and integrate data from REST and SOAP web services.
• Troubleshoot data‑related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure data integrity and security across all processes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role, with a focus on accounting and payroll systems.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and database management, with a strong understanding of relational databases.
• Experience with Sage or similar accounting and payroll systems.
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services, and the ability to query and integrate data from these sources.
