Job summary

An automotive company in Potchefstroom is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and vehicles. The ideal candidate must have a trade test qualification and 3–5 years’ experience in the field, with hands-on experience in various equipment. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential. Job description

We have a fantastic opporunity fo a Diesel Mechanic at a Automotive company in Potchefstroom.

Duties:

• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently.
• Ensure vehicles and machinery remain in safe, optimal working condition.

Requirements:

• NQF 4 / N1–N3 with 3–5 years’ mechanic experience.
• Trade Test qualification (Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic).
• Hands-on experience with forklifts, telehandlers, yellow machines, cranes, trucks, trailers, tractors, TMM machines, and engine rebuilds.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and auto-electrical systems.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak).
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work afterhours when required.
