Job summary

An analytical testing laboratory is seeking an Assistant Laboratory Manager for the Pesticides Laboratory. Responsibilities include managing functions in the absence of the Laboratory Manager, assisting in operations planning, providing technical support, and conducting trainings. Ideal candidates will have a BSc in Chemistry or equivalent with 4-6 years of relevant experience in an ISO 17025 accredited environment. Good communication and leadership skills are essential. Full-time position available.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in an ISO 17025 accredited facility.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC and standard operating procedures.
  • Understanding of laboratory safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full management functions in the absence of the Laboratory Manager.

Job description

Introduction

  • BSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experience in an ISO 17025 accredited facility.

Description : An analytical testing laboratory is seeking an Assistant Laboratory Manager for their Pesticide Laboratory. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing full management functions in the absence of the Laboratory Manager; assisting in operations planning and managing the overall functioning of the Pesticides Laboratory; providing technical support to clients; conducting technical training and evaluating competence; directing and performing pesticide analysis using standard testing protocols; verifying analytical results, generating Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and communicating results to clients.

Key Requirements : BSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experience in an ISO 17025 accredited facility. The candidate should be familiar with QA/QC, standard operating procedures, laboratory safety policies, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Additional Requirements: The ideal candidate should have a customer-centric attitude, excellent interpersonal communication skills, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, leadership and people management skills, and a flexible, innovative approach to work.
