mothers2mothers (m2m) is an African Primary Health Care organisation that employs women living with HIV as community health workers across African nations. These “Mentor Mothers” deliver integrated health services at clinics and in communities to ensure everyone, everywhere has access to the services they need to be healthy and stay in care. Assets & Fleet Controller

The purpose of this position is to provide technical financial and administrative support for operations and programme service delivery in the three supported districts in Mpumalanga Office. This position is based in the m2m CHAMP Office in Nelspruit; and reports to the Finance and Operations Manager.

Key Performance Areas:
Asset Management
  • Asset verification, tagging and updating of the CHAMP Fixed Asset Register
  • Initiating documenting asset disposition in line with the USAID rules and regulations
  • Preparing audit requests and samples for CHAMP
  • Delegate authority to approve vehicle requests
  • Asset safekeeping and security
  • Other asset management support duties, as may be necessary.
Fleet Management
  • Help manage organizational fleet and support in the procurement for vehicle rental and support in the management subsequent contract;
  • Work with security to ensure that mileage is logged and submit all vehicle logbooks;
  • Reconcile the petrol card statement with the supporting documents
  • Vehicle Tracking and conducting spot checks.
Vehicle and Asset insurance management
  • Work with the Program Officer to allocate project vehicles
  • Reviewing and e‑filing of vehicle request documentation
  • Enforcing vehicle requests protocols
  • Coordinate authorized driver registration and training.
Inventory Management
  • Conduct stock count and reconciliation
  • Enforcing CHAMP inventory and stock controls
  • Stock receiving and enforcing dispatch controls
Competencies:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Appreciation of accounting for assets and inventory management best practices
  • Understanding of external and internal audit processes
  • Conversant in English and at least one (1) other African language
  • Basic filing experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi‑task
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Finance or Business related qualification
  • 2–3-year relevant experience

Working knowledge of siSwati and other local languages in Mpumalanga (e.g. isiZulu, isiNdebele, Northern Sotho, Xitsonga).
