Job summary

A retail design firm is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist specializing in interior design. You will be responsible for assessing sites, designing layouts, and generating technical packages for submissions. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in retail or commercial design, along with strong technical knowledge and proficiency in Revit. Creative problem-solving and self-motivation are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years' experience in retail or commercial design/architecture preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge is required.
• Proficiency in Revit is advantageous.
• Creative approach to problem solving on quick turnaround installations.
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Site assessment and measuring up of new and existing sites.
• Design store layouts and individual merchandising display units.
• Generate full technical packages for submissions.
• Create 3D renderings and presentation packages.
• Work closely with manufacturers and contracting teams.
• Occasional in-house design proposals and installations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Site assessment and measuring up of new and existing sites
• Designing of store layouts, as well as individual merchandising display units
• Generating of full technical packages for client, landlord and council submissions
• 3D renderings and occasional presentation packages
• Working closely with our shop fitting and signage manufacturers, as well as our contracting teams on site
• Occasional in-house/head office design proposals and installations

EDUCATION / SKILLS

• Min 2 years’ experience in retail or commercial design/architecture is preferred
• Strong technical knowledge
• Proficiency in Revit advantageous
• Creative approach to problem solving, especially on quick turnaround installations
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
