Job description

Kearsney College is a leading independent boarding and day school for approximately 650 boys from Grades 8 to 12. The 125-acre estate is in a beautiful country setting on the edge of the Valley of a Thousand Hills, just outside Durban. Kearsney has an outstanding record of academic achievement in the IEB Matriculation Examinations and provides a dynamic sporting and cultural offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • the secretarial, administration and financial reporting for Kearsney College Old Boys (KCOB);
  • database management and development for KCOB;
  • relationship development with KCOB and sponsors;
  • communications, social media management and engagement;
  • promoting KCOB networking;
  • eventing and functions, brand planning and management;
  • sponsorship administration and development;
  • sponsor relations;
  • Heritage Society and museum management.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years post-qualification experience in a similar position;
  • eventing and social media management experience;
  • basic bookkeeping skills and knowledge of Pastel;
  • valid driver’s licence;
  • flexible with regards to hours of work and be prepared to work on some evenings and weekends;
  • ability to work cooperatively in a team;
  • excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and outgoing personality;
  • good judgement and problem-solving skills,
  • be proactive.
