ORA Jewellery is a local e-commerce business that offers women intuitively crafted jewels that can be made into a woman’s own signature statement. They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Admin & Operations Assistant to join their team to play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations — from managing orders and liaising with the factory to handling customer queries and supporting marketing efforts. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities
  • Operations & Order Management: Process and track online orders and ensure smooth processing from placement to delivery. Coordinate with the factory to manage production timelines and track orders. Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of completed orders.
  • Customer Service: Follow up with customers, provide updates on orders and resolve queries. Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and stock movements.
  • General Administration: Assist with general administrative tasks to support the business, including support with social media marketing and management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education and work experience: Matric required; relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • 1-2 years experience in a customer-facing role is essential; retail experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional, customer-centric approach; able to communicate telephonically in an effective and professional manner.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations calmly and rationally.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills; able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; systems-oriented with good attention to detail.
  • Experience with Social Media Marketing/Management would be a distinct advantage.
  • Flexible and adaptable, customer-focused, and able to maintain high service standards.

Reporting to: Owner

Hours of work: 9am – 2pm (Mon – Friday)

Salary range: R12 000 – R15 000 (commensurate with skill and experience)
