Job Summary

The Depot Management Supervisor (Depot IC/Gate IC) is responsible for overseeing daily depot container handling operations, ensuring smooth gate processes, coordinating with hauliers, and managing equipment and inventory. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain operational efficiency and address exceptions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage gate operations, responding to emails and calls.
2. Nominate containers for release and monitor uncollected/expired bookings.
3. Update system notes and process special handling requests.
4. Create storing orders in PORTNET and compile precool/preset bookings.
5. Verify and resolve discrepancies in local collection requests.
6. Handle exceptions, including haulier rejections, container exchanges, and incorrect returns.
7. Tag containers for depot services and coordinate customer inventory requests.
8. Approve container repair estimates and manage equipment breakdowns.
9. Monitor gate returns, transshipment volumes, and optimize yard space.
10. Supervise RTG block activities, track productivity, and manage diversions during congestion or bad weather.
11. Send daily resource updates and coordinate cross-gantry operations.

Requirements:

1. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
2. Ability to multi-task
3. 5.5 days work week
4. Basic knowledge of MS Word/Excel
