Global Precious Metals is a niche player in the wealth management industry. The company services high net worth clients who want to allocate part of their portfolio to alternative assets, including physical precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, and palladium), as ‘wealth insurance’. The company has a diverse global clientele ranging from high net worth individuals, family offices, investment funds, and precious metals trading companies. The company also provides fully insured custody of physical precious metals in high security vaults around the world.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an energetic and experienced Business Development professional who will support in driving sales and business growth. The selected candidate will also be building on our existing client relationships and managing client portfolio. He/she will be based in Singapore and work in a cross-border team to achieve the strategic objectives of Business Development team, reporting directly to Management.

• Identify, cultivate new relationships, and follow up closely with potential HNW/UHNW prospects
• Actively engage with and expand professional network to build a pipeline of prospects
• Maintain relationships with existing clients through client retention plans, improving client experience and anticipating client needs
• Collaborate with Management to introduce and/or execute sales and marketing strategies
• Develop and negotiate partnerships and/or sponsorships at relevant industry events
• Assist with managing company’s events
• Create and deliver business presentations, publication materials, and market analysis
• Stay abreast with market trends to ensure that service offerings remain relevant
• Expand network of precious metals trading partners and service providers

Qualifications and experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in business development role; at best, within precious metals, luxury commodities, wealth management, private banking industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, International Business, Marketing, or related field

Skills and expertise:

• Excellent command of English and French (to liaise with French-speaking clients)
• Good knowledge of Asian and European markets
• Willingness to travel
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, business partners, management, and colleagues
• Strong focus, strategic thinking, and result oriented
• High level of reliability, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality
