Job description
AWS Cloud Technical Lead Consultant

Experience: 12 - 16 Years

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Cloud Consultant to play a pivotal dual role: a strategic advisor and a hands‑on technical leader. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery, management, and operation of AWS cloud infrastructure, while also acting as a Service Delivery Manager (SDM). Your expertise will bridge the gap between deep technical architecture and client‑facing business leadership, ensuring our cloud solutions are robust, cost‑effective, and aligned with strategic goals.

We are seeking a professional with hands‑on experience designing AWS cloud solutions from the ground up, managing client relationships, and delivering compliant, secure, and scalable infrastructure aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Client Management (SDM Focus):

Act as the primary Service Delivery Manager, ensuring full compliance with all SLAs, operational metrics, and IT policies.

Work closely with clients as a trusted advisor to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions and operational roadmaps.

Partner with sales and product teams to provide technical guidance and ensure new features meet customer needs.

Provide regular performance, risk, and compliance updates to senior leadership.

Manage client escalations and lead high‑priority incident resolution calls with professionalism.

Technical Architecture & Design (Hands‑On Focus):

Lead the design and architecture of comprehensive AWS cloud solutions, encompassing compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution designs, and operational runbooks.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Drive the adoption of DevOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Jenkins.

Operational Excellence & Delivery:

Lead the planning, design, and implementation of cloud enhancement projects from initiation to completion.

Drive cost optimization and improve resource utilization across the cloud environment.

Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and oversee the automation and continuous improvement of operational processes.

Guarantee compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Mandatory Technical Skills & Experience

12-16 years of overall IT experience, with a significant portion focused on AWS cloud environments.

Expert, hands‑on knowledge across the following AWS services is required:

  • Compute: EC2, Lambda, EKS
  • Storage: S3, EBS, Glacier
  • Networking: VPC, Route53, API Gateway
  • Database: RDS, DynamoDB
  • Security: IAM, KMS
  • Monitoring: CloudWatch, CloudTrail

Proven experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins/CloudBees, Terraform, Prometheus, SonarQube, JFrog.

Demonstrated experience in a client‑facing leadership role (e.g., Service Delivery Manager, Lead Consultant).
