Global Marine Operations Leader for Container Fleet
Job summary
A leading container shipping firm is seeking an experienced General Manager for Marine Operations in Singapore. The candidate will lead operations of a global container fleet, ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing voyage planning, bunker management, and coordinating with global ports. A Master Mariner/Chief Officer background, along with at least 8 years of marine operations experience, is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for liaising with senior leadership in China.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in marine operations, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of stowage, stability, and bunker management.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day marine operations ensuring navigational safety and compliance.
- Oversee voyage planning, bunker management, and operational documentation.
- Engage with port authorities and terminal operators.
