Role: Senior Manager, Legal (Real Estate and General Corporate Commercial)
Be a member of the RGE Group Corporate Legal team, with a major focus on Real Estate. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented legal counsel who shall provide legal and regulatory advice for the Group’s growing global real estate portfolio. He/she shall also be expected handle Corporate and Commercial legal work related to selected business verticals within the RGE Group.
A. Key responsibilities:
1. Take lead on all legal matters related to property development and management, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, planning, construction, financing, leasing, asset management and regulatory compliance;
2. Draft, negotiate, and review full range of contracts and legal documents, including investment and acquisition documentation, project financing, hotel management, development agreements, construction contracts, leases, and service agreements.
3. Support due diligence processes, deal structuring, negotiation of transaction documentation for land acquisitions and investments.
4. Assist with planning and zoning issues, ensuring compliance with local authorities and regulatory requirements.
5. Provide legal support in project structuring and risk management.
6. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate outsourced legal work.
7. Monitor changes in legislation and advise the business on potential impacts.
8. Support dispute resolution and litigation processes as needed.
9. Support general advisory needs associated with a large-scale real estate portfolio
10. Collaborate with internal teams including finance, planning, construction, and sales to ensure legal input is fully integrated into development strategies.
11. Other than real estate, to also work on other areas of Corporate and Commercial legal work related to other business verticals within the RGE Group.
B. Requirements:
1. Bachelor of Law degree with at least 8 years of relevant corporate and M&A experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department relating to real estate.
2. Direct deal experience performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating cross-functional deal teams and advising business stakeholders.
3. Strong working knowledge of lease transactions, and property management
4. Strong communication and project management skills and ability to manage a diverse workload effectively.
5. Being an analytical thinker who can work through legal issues and provide solutions
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate ideas and propositions effectively and accurately to internal stakeholders and other professionals
7. Strong experience in real estate law
