We are looking for a Sustainability Senior Analyst in the Sustainability Program Office to support Equinix in achieving our climate ambitions. This individual will report to the Environmental Sustainability Program Lead and partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive the company-wide decarbonization strategy to meet our climate targets and commitments. Candidates should have a strong grasp of GHG accounting practices and key decarbonization levers within the ICT sector, working cross-functionally to drive results.
Responsibilities:
Support and facilitate data collection and management related to GHG accounting, reporting, and forecasting.
Engage with environmental sustainability leads to quantify carbon reduction initiatives, develop internal targets, and measure performance across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
Assist in developing and maintaining internal carbon analytics tools to support prioritization of decarbonization strategies and project performance measurement.
Communicate key activities, progress, and outcomes of sustainability initiatives to stakeholders and prepare reports in compliance with relevant standards.
Grow into an expert on data center, real estate, and technology-related sustainability topics, including technical sustainability concepts.
Develop subject-matter expertise on environmental sustainability topics such as climate resiliency, emissions, energy, water, and key ESG issues.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in corporate sustainability and GHG accounting.
B.S. degree in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent experience (master's degree preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex sustainability data into concise, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Working knowledge of sustainability programs related to energy, environment, and emissions, and their interrelations (e.g., TCFD, CDP, GRI, GHG Protocol, Science-based Targets, ISSB, UK TPT).
Aptitude for project management and engaging cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing deadlines and influence stakeholders to keep programs moving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
