Job summary
A healthcare staffing agency in Singapore is seeking a Locum Palliative Home Care Staff Nurse to perform home visits for chronic ill patients. The role includes nursing assessments, coordination with doctors, and patient education. Ideal candidates will hold valid SNB and BCLS certifications and have prior palliative care experience. Competitive hourly rate of $30/hr offered.
Qualifications

- Prior experience in palliative care is a must.
Responsibilities
- Perform home visits to chronic ill/palliative patients.
- Conduct nursing assessments on patients.
- Coordinate with doctors for patient follow-ups.
- Monitor medications as prescribed.
- Perform nursing procedures like wound dressing.
- Initiate nursing care plans.
- Educate caregivers on basic nursing procedures.

- To perform nursing assessment on the patient
- To coordinate with doctor for medical assessment and follow-up visits to patient
- To monitor current medication and compliance as prescribed by the doctor
- To perform nursing procedures such as wound dressing, insertion of urine catheter, insertion of naso-gastric tube and care of tubings as required
- To initiate nursing care plan and implement new measures of management
- To educate caregivers/families on basic nursing procedures to ensure continuation of care at home
- Valid SNB and BCLS
- Prior palliative care experience
