Job Description

As a Surgical Vet Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical specialists and ensuring the highest standards of perioperative and in-patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and supplies.

  • Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile field.

  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, prep surgical sites, and record vital signs.

  • Monitor anesthesia and intraoperative patient status.

  • Provide post-operative care, including recovery monitoring and medication administration.

  • Assist with triage, admissions, radiographs, and patient restraint.

  • Maintain surgical records and manage surgical inventory.

  • Participate in surgical rounds and ongoing professional development.

Requirements
  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology/Nursing (required).

  • At least 1–2 years of veterinary nursing experience, ideally with surgical exposure.
