Roles & Responsibilities
Conducting inspections and functional tests of avionic systems to ensure proper operation. This involves using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify faults, malfunctions, or discrepancies in electronic components.
Identifying and diagnosing complex electrical and electronic problems in avionic systems. Avionics Technicians must analyze system failures, trace electrical circuitry, and use testing equipment to pinpoint the root causes of malfunctions.
Performing maintenance and repair tasks on avionic systems and components. This includes replacing faulty parts, repairing wiring, connectors, or circuitry, and calibrating instruments. Avionics Technicians may also perform software updates or modifications to ensure the systems meet the required specifications.
Installing new avionic systems or components in aircraft. This involves reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Avionics Technicians must properly connect and integrate new systems into the existing aircraft infrastructure.
Assisting with avionics system upgrades and modifications. Avionics Technicians may be involved in the installation and integration of new technologies, such as advanced communication or navigation systems, and ensuring their compatibility with existing avionic systems.
Job Requirements:
At least 3 years of relevant work experience as an avionics technician.
Experience handling both commercial Boeing and Airbus wide-body aircrafts.
Background and in aviation/aerospace, aircraft maintenance.
