Accounting jobs in Singapore

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting, tax, and compliance functions for our cosmetics wholesale trading business, with a strong focus on third-party (3rd party) trade transactions. This role requires deep knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and international trade taxation, ensuring our operations remain compliant and efficient while supporting business growth.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain a full set of accounts in accordance with Singapore FRS, ensuring accuracy of the general ledger, AR/AP, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations for cross-border trade.
• Prepare and present monthly/quarterly management reports that analyze revenue, cost, and profitability by trade line.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare, review, and file quarterly GST returns; ensure proper documentation for zero-rated supplies (export & 3rd party trade transactions).
• Compute corporate tax and support ECI filing and annual tax return submissions.
• Assess withholding tax exposure for payments to overseas service providers, vendors, or HQ entities.
• Ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing guidelines; coordinate with external advisors for TP documentation.
• Monitor changes in IRAS/ACRA regulations and update management accordingly.

Trade & Treasury Management

• Track and reconcile import/export documentation (invoices, bills of lading, LC documents).
• Handle Letter of Credit (LC) applications, negotiation, and settlement with banks.
• Manage multi-currency accounts, monitor FX exposure, and record realized/unrealized FX gains/losses.
• Conduct cash flow analysis and provide regular updates to management.

Internal Controls & Process Enhancement

• Establish robust accounting policies and internal controls specific to wholesale trading and cross-border operations.
• Review and improve documentation flow between sales, logistics, and finance teams to minimize compliance risks.
• Lead periodic internal reviews to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and audit readiness.

Business Partnering

• Work closely with commercial teams to evaluate trading terms and their accounting/tax implications.
• Advise management on cost optimization, pricing, and trade structuring for efficiency.
• Provide financial insights to support expansion into new markets and product lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA qualification (or equivalent professional certification) preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally within wholesale trading, import/export, or 3rd party trade sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS, GST, withholding tax, and transfer pricing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with cross-border transactions and multi-currency accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Xero, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Bilingual proficiency (English + Korean/Chinese) will be an advantage for liaising with HQ and overseas partners.
