Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh.

Provide support as required to the construction team reporting directly to the Project Field Engineer. The Survey Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating subcontract work for all survey activities on the King Salman International Airport to include review of completed survey data and contract deliverables to assure technical compliance with contract requirements. Responsible for coordination and oversight of field survey work to assure all work is performed to safety and quality requirements.

The Survey Coordinators’ duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Manage third party survey contract.


• Conduct field surveillance on survey operations to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.


• Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy and Zero accident Philosophy.


• Monitor contractor Quality Control Program and Environmental Compliance Program, this includes site inspection for compliance with Contract Documents, permit and environmental requirements, approved submittals in conformance to codes and contract requirements.


• Ensure the contractor establishes and/or verifies and maintains the project’s survey control network


• Coordinate BIM requirements with contractor and Employer


• Manage/ scope survey requests for delivery team


• Support the implementation/administration of the survey work request program


• Review contractor survey deliverable (RAMS, Survey reports, survey records, etc.)


• Track installed quantities and contractor man hours for verification of contractor invoices.


• Facilitate coordination of contractors work with third parties and public agencies if/as required.


• Review and respond to contractors’ technical queries and coordinate with Engineering Department on technical issues.


• Provide technical support to the preparation of Field Change Requests and Change Orders.


• Review contractor's monthly invoices.


• Managing / controlling master utilities plan (transferring survey data into master utility model)


• Prepare daily reports on each contractor.

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

• Knowledge of Bechtel’s “Zero Accidents” safety program. Must have a strong drive toward Safety, both on and off the job, a commitment to seeing everyone go home each day as well and healthy as they came to work that day


• Knowledge of Bechtel quality standards. Must have a solid record of successful project completion with little to zero rework


• Knowledge of construction survey principles


• Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to heavy construction/industrial surveying field & office activities


• Working knowledge of Bechtel construction procedures


• Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors’ workforce.


• Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner


• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment, able to formulate a working relationship with survey team members, other departments and contractors


• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications


• Excellent problem-solving ability


• Demonstrated proficiency with Survey CAD software


• General awareness of environmental laws


• Awareness of government compliance standards
