Job Purpose

Responsible for leading and managing complex oil & gas projects from conception through execution and handover. Ensures projects meet scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality requirements, while aligning with company strategic objectives, Operational Excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead front-end engineering design (FEED), feasibility studies, and project cost/benefit analysis.
• Ensure all projects follow project governance framework, including stage-gate reviews and risk-based prioritization.
• Review EPC contractor performance and resolve technical/contractual issues.
• Ensure integration of HSE, sustainability, and energy efficiency in project execution.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to strengthen team capabilities.
• Leads and oversees engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Provides technical leadership and guidance to project teams.
• Manages project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Collaborates with design teams to develop project plans, specifications, and engineering designs.
• Reviews and approves engineering drawings and documentation.
• Performs engineering calculations and analyses.
• Monitors project progress and performance, identifying and addressing issues and risks.
• Coordinates with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Conducts regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is executed according to plans.
• Develops and manages project budgets, tracking expenses and making cost-effective decisions.
• Controls project costs by optimizing resource utilization and procurement strategies.
• Ensures that engineering projects meet quality and safety standards.
• Implements quality control measures and perform inspections.
• Maintains comprehensive project documentation, including reports, schedules, and change orders.
• Prepares and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.
• Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
• Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
• Performs any other relevant task as directed by Manager Project & Facilities Planning.

Qualifications

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and/or Experience

9 years related experience, covering Project Management operations preferably in oil & gas sector organization with at least 3 years in senior/lead role.

Certifications (Preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP)

Academic background includes a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
