Job Purpose
The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of critical applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and security to support business operations effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Lead and manage the applications operation team.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for IT operation, aligning with business priorities and objectives.
- Manage and administer enterprise-level applications, including installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and availability
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles, to support ongoing operations, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.
- Services and Applications Monitoring to assure service and Business continuity
- Risk Management and Security: Operation Manager is responsible for managing risks associated with IT operations. This includes implementing appropriate security measures, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies to protect the organization's data and systems from cyber threats and other potential risks
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the performance, health, and status of critical applications, highlighting key metrics, issues, and trends, and recommending improvements and optimizations.
- IT Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of critical financial systems and applications.
- Service Delivery: Ensure the delivery of IT services in accordance with agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations, with a focus on maintaining high availability and data integrity.
- Change Management: Establish and enforce change management processes to ensure controlled and efficient implementation of system changes, upgrades, and deployments, while minimizing risks to financial operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including finance professionals, compliance officers, auditors, and regulators, to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on IT operations and projects.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of financial systems, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on operational performance, incidents, and compliance-related activities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 8+ years of experience in applications operation, system administration, or related roles
