We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Director Business Development in Saudi Arabia. Your role will be to lead assigned sales and accounts within the Technology, Automation, and Energy (TAE) Sector, with a special focus on Technology.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Lead the Business Development & Account Development strategy to deliver significant growth in Saudi Arabia.
- Develop a proactive sales plan in collaboration with the Marketing team and participate in relevant seminars and conferences.
- Build and leverage a strong network in Saudi Arabia to drive new business and support company growth objectives.
- Lead the team managing RFQs in Saudi Arabia, coordinating roles and leading a winning team.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial Officer EMEA, Sector Teams, and other DHL divisions to foster growth.
- Implement sales strategies from EMEA, Global, and Corporate levels.
- Focus on TAE Sectors including Technology, Auto-Mobility, Engineering & Manufacturing, Energy, and Chemicals.
- Ensure all business initiatives comply with local laws and regulations, including licensing and reporting requirements.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes, market conditions, and economic indicators impacting business strategy.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on progress, challenges, and future plans.
- Manage and mentor a team of business development and sales professionals, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Offer ongoing training and coaching to keep the team updated on market knowledge and skills.
What do we need from you?
- Proven experience in Sales and Business Development within logistics, including warehousing and transport.
- Successful track record in developing and implementing strategies that increase revenue in the Saudi or broader Gulf market.
- Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of the local business environment, market dynamics, and regulatory framework in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent consultative selling skills (ACCELERATE Type).
- Ability to manage and influence within a matrix management environment.
- Strong motivation, resilience, and a proven sales record.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, at a business level.
