Cosmos Personal Care (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. – Johor Bahru, Johor

As a Logistics Specialist at COSMOS PERSONAL CARE (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in managing the company's import and export operations and customs procedures. This full‑time position is located in Tanjung Langsat Johor and offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading player in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.

Key Responsibility
  • Oversight and supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate fire watch teams to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
    • Monitor subordinates' activities and perform safety audits.
  • Inspections and compliance
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential fire hazards.
    • Perform risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and codes (NFPA, BOMBA etc).
    • Maintain and renew Fire Certificate (FC).
  • Training and drills
    • Provide training and mentorship to staff on fire safety practices and emergency response.
    • Conduct regular fire drills and evacuation exercises.
  • Emergency response
    • Respond to fire alarms and emergencies, ensuring prompt communication with emergency services.
    • Coordinate emergency response during incidents to ensure safe evacuation.
  • Record‑keeping and reporting
    • Develop and maintain logs, including fire watch and incident reports.
    • Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
    • Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and equipment maintenance.
  • Equipment and systems
    • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of fire suppression and detection systems and equipment, such as fire extinguishers and alarms.
  • Liaison
    • Act as the primary point of contact between the facility and the local fire department for inspections and audits.
  • Other tasks assigned by the superior
What We're Looking For
  • Diploma in Safety, Health & Environment / Fire Safety / Technical.
  • More than 3 years working in high/medium risk industry / chemicals industry or construction or fire service contractor and related (SHO, OSHC or SSS is an advantage).
  • Knowledgeable in BOMBA Act, UBBL or NFPA; Fire Safety & Fire Fighting System; Emergency Response Plan.
  • Skill in fire fighting passive and active inspection & testing; conduct emergency drill & evacuation; training work coordination with team during emergency; fire fighting system audit with BOMBA or legal authorities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem‑solving to identify and resolve issues.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to your work.
  • Fluent in English and Malay.
