Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner (Technical Focus) to lead the planning and delivery of the company’s backend systems, internal systems, and platform-based products. This role works closely with business teams to understand business processes and operational pain points, translate business needs into clear, implementable product requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams to continuously optimize system capabilities. Due to business needs, the role requires occasional travel to align with regional or business teams through on-site discussions and workshops.
Job Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product management for backend systems, internal systems, or platform products supporting the entertainment business
- Manage and continuously refine the product backlog, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility to define priorities and ensure alignment with overall strategy
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable product deliverables, including PRDs, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Work closely with operations, marketing, and other business teams, as well as engineering teams, to establish effective communication mechanisms and drive fast clarification and decision-making
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure a smooth and efficient product and technical delivery process
- Participate in solution and architecture discussions to ensure systems are scalable, stable, and maintainable in the long term
- Align product direction with business goals through meetings, workshops, and on-site collaboration (travel required as needed)
- Maintain product documentation, system specifications, and operational guides to ensure clarity and ease of handover
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields preferred
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably with a technology or software company background. Hands‑on experience with backend systems, internal systems, enterprise systems, or platform products
- Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers (Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and basic database concepts)
- Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to prioritize and make sound trade-offs across multiple requirements
- Strong logical thinking, execution capability, and sense of ownership
- Willingness to travel as required by business needs
- Solid understanding and hands‑on experience with Agile development methodologies, including tools such as Jira, Lark Meegle, or similar project management tools
- Required language(s): English, Mandarin
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS, platform, or middle‑platform products
- Experience working with cross‑regional or cross‑country teams
- Background in operations systems, data platforms, or internal tooling products
