Overview
To provide comprehensive Well Logs Data Management and Petrophysics Interpretation services to support exploration and production activities.
Scope of Work
The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior level Petrophysicist with a strong background in well data management and formation evaluation. Key responsibilities are listed below:
Well Data Management
- Compilation of final log curves including GR, Caliper, Resistivity, Sonic (DT), and Density logs.
- Quality control of log curves, bad-hole correction, and generation of pseudo logs where necessary (e.g., GR, DT, Density).
- Inventory management and validation of core data, including RCA, SCAL, XRD, LPSA, Sw, and Grain Analysis.
- Compilation and verification of fluid data, pressure data, and well testing results.
- Data tabulation and documentation, providing remarks for each compiled final log curve per well.
Petrophysical Formation Evaluation
- Conducting formation evaluation using Gamma Ray (GR), Neutron-Density (Neu-Den), and Hydrocarbon Correction (HC Corr) plots for lithology modeling and hydrocarbon contact identification.
- Utilization of Neutron, Density, Sonic, and Hydrocarbon Correction (HC Corr) methodologies.
- Analysis of core data, including Vcl, Gden, RI, FF, Porosity-Permeability (Poro-Perm), and SwJ.
- Calculation of water saturation (Sw) and porosity for reservoir characterization.
- Reservoir summation and integration of petrophysical parameters.
- Preparation of comprehensive petrophysical reports, including compiled tabulation and interpretation.
Job Skill Requirements
- Proficiency in DSG Petrophysics or other relevant petrophysical software tools.
- Strong knowledge of petrophysical modeling, well log interpretation, and formation evaluation.
- Experience in core data analysis and fluid pressure interpretation.
- Proficiency in database management, data compilation, and report writing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Petrophysics, Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in petrophysical evaluation, well log data management, and reservoir characterization, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience working with major Oil & Gas companies is an added advantage.
- Job is open to Malaysian Citizens and Expats currently in Malaysia.
