A premier English teaching center in Kuala Lumpur is seeking English Teachers to deliver structured lessons that build students' confidence in English. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and an English teaching qualification like TESOL or TEFL, alongside at least two years of international teaching experience. Candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in English, TESL, Education, or a related field.
Possess an internationally recognized English teaching qualification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, etc.).
Fluent in both spoken and written English.
Minimum two (2) years of classroom experience in English language teaching to international students.
Familiar with Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and learner-centered approaches.
English Teachers at Stratford English Centre are responsible for delivering engaging, communicative, and well-structured lessons that help students build confidence and fluency in all four language skills — speaking, listening, reading, and writing — while upholding Stratford’s academic standards and classroom culture.
Deliver lessons following Stratford’s curriculum, teaching frameworks (PPP / ESA), and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) methodology.
Use authentic and engaging materials to promote meaningful communication and interaction.
Conduct and mark story tests, writing tasks, midterm exams, and final exams according to Stratford’s assessment policy.
Collaborate effectively in co-teaching arrangements, ensuring consistency and coordination between partner teachers.
Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
Enforce the use of English only during class and school activities.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, and participation, and report concerns to the Academic Department.
Maintain accurate and updated records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
Submit all graded materials (story tests, midterms, finals, writing tests) to the Academic Manager after reviewing them with students.
Attend monthly teachers’ meetings, internal training sessions, and professional development workshops.
Support academic events, student activities, and marketing-related programs when required.
Communicate professionally with students, colleagues, and management, representing Stratford’s values at all times.
