The Role

We’re looking for a Manager, Tax, reporting to the Director, Tax & Treasury, to support our expanding international tax operations (with a focus on LATAM). You will own the compliance over our direct and indirect tax filings prepared by external service providers and play a central role in shaping and executing our global expansion strategy to optimize the company’s tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Own the company’s LATAM tax compliance and reporting. Manage external service providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of income, VAT and other tax returns. Review tax provisions in customer agreements and contracts. Support local statutory audits and related inquiries.
• Manage interactions with service providers & auditors. Own relationships with local tax and accounting providers, respond to inquiries, review outputs, and ensure timely communication with tax authorities.
• Support month-end close activities. In coordination with Accounting, handle close checklists, balance sheet reconciliations, flux explanations, and journal entries for tax-related accounts.
• Customer tax inquiries & billing. Support Billing Operations to determine correct taxes on invoices, respond to tax inquiries, and assist account managers with tax-efficient billing arrangements.
• Director, Tax & Treasury support. Assist in optimizing non-US cash/liquidity and ad-hoc payroll tax matters with the Payroll team.

Requirements

• English and Spanish fluency
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or local equivalent)
• CPA or CA (or local equivalent)
• 5+ years of corporate tax experience (public accounting or industry); B2B SaaS/startup experience a plus
• Experience with Avalara (or similar) indirect tax software
• Experience with Netsuite (or similar) ERP software
