Your Impact

The Sustainment Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of digital products post-deployment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain high-quality user experiences and operational excellence

Sub-Responsibilities
  • Perform initial diagnosis and triage of technical issues, resolving independently when possible.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify root causes and drive timely resolution of software incidents.
  • Partner with Product Owners to validate runbooks, ensure accuracy of monitoring dashboards, confirm SLAs, and refine customer notification procedures.
  • Connect insights across multiple workstreams to improve product performance and user satisfaction.
  • Work efficiently across teams to ensure the product consistently meets customer expectations.
  • Enhance logging and monitoring for faster and more accurate error detection.
  • Develop automation to detect compliance requirements and optimize resource usage.
  • Provide code reviews and share best practices with peers.
  • Advise on segmentation and prioritization of sustainment engineering work to maximize business value.
  • Proactively communicate with leadership, providing clear updates on task ownership, timelines, risks, and resolution paths.
  • Define tailored sustainment strategies for each product.
  • Identify risks and challenges through structured analysis and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

  • 3-5 Years of experience as Sustain Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience in Web development, multi-layered architecture (preferred), ReactJS, Node.js, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, and RDBMS.
  • Can analyse a problem statement using relevant data. Able to research techniques or solutions and propose a viable approach.
  • Expertise in one or more software languages and design patterns.
  • Understands how to refactor code to make it more modular, scalable, easier to support. Knows how to break features down into components to be developed in parallel by other engineers.
  • Has ways to get more efficiency out of compute resources (without adversely impacting customers).
  • Able to constructively coach engineers -- via code reviews, design reviews, etc. Able to craft technical interview questions and independently evaluate candidate skills.
