A manufacturing company in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking a Production Manager to oversee operations. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3-5 years of production management experience, preferably in electromechanical manufacturing. Responsibilities include organizing workload, maintaining compliance with laws, and ensuring safety in the workplace. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills are essential.

• 3-5 years production/operational management experience required.
• 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Electromechanical manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize the workload for subordinate employees to meet negotiated shipment due dates based on plan
• Ensure all raw materials used in the production process are in stock and prepared for use to maintain a consistent high level of production
• Ensure compliance with local labor and EHS laws
• Ensure that all equipment and machinery necessary for production is maintained appropriately
• Reviews processes and procedures for efficiency improvement. Makes recommendations for improvement to management.
• Ensure a safe work environment by identifying and mitigating hazards and unsafe work practices and through administration the company’s injury and illness prevention program.
• Responsible to run the factory and operations in Mexico

Education / Training

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in management, engineering, or related field; Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics Engineer or equivalent is preferred; Master’s degree is a plus; Lean Six Sigma Certification a plus

Experience

3-5 Years production/ operational management experience, 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably with some electromechanical manufacturing experience

Technical Knowledge / Skills

• Electromechanical assembly knowledge, Lean and Six Sigma Principles, MS Office Suite
