About the Role

As our Senior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to implement effective testing strategies, focusing primarily on automation while maintaining manual testing capabilities. The position requires a balance of technical expertise and strong communication skills to drive quality throughout our development process.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Cypress for UI, component, and API testing.
• Perform manual testing activities to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Collaborate with developers on defining and implementing effective test automation architecture.
• Contribute to load, performance, and security testing initiatives.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and provide quality‑focused input during planning and refinement.
• Mentor and train junior team members on test automation best practices.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD workflows with engineering teams.
• Document testing processes, test plans, and results in JIRA and Confluence.
• Identify, report, and track defects through resolution.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA engineering experience with a focus on test automation.
• Strong experience with Cypress for UI, component, and API testing.
• 3+ years of experience with GraphQL and REST API testing.
• Experience contributing to load, performance, and security testing initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience building new automation suites from early stages.
• Strong understanding of test automation architecture principles.
• Experience testing applications built with modern web frameworks; knowledge of Ruby and React stacks is a significant plus.
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active contributor in agile development environments.
• Experience mentoring or training junior engineers.
• Development experience is a plus.
