Senior Software Engineer – Payments Team

At Cloudbeds we transform hospitality through a unified, AI‑powered platform that powers properties in 150 countries and processes billions in bookings annually. As a fully remote role, you’ll join a global team building the financial backbone of the industry.

What You’ll Do

Deliver exceptional product experiences for hotel guests and accommodation providers, ensuring secure, scalable, and high‑performance payment solutions. Work on complex, interconnected problems, integrating with global partner APIs and iterating on payment services.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of PHP web application engineering (or Java).
• 2+ years working with MySQL or PostgreSQL with tuning and optimization.
• 1+ year designing and developing event‑driven microservices in PHP or Java.
• Experience with modern infrastructure tooling (DataDog, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD).
• Strong business sense and ability to collaborate with leadership and stakeholders.
• Dedication to observability and data‑driven decisions.
• Passion for software engineering best practices, design patterns, and automated testing.

Bonus Skills (Optional)

• Secure software engineering in regulated environments (PCI‑DSS, other frameworks).
• Large‑scale domain‑driven design experience.
• Payments or travel industry experience.
