As a Pre‑Sales Specialist at Ergeon, you’ll be the first human point of contact for new prospective customers, introducing them to Ergeon’s product offerings and guiding them through the sales process with warm, curious and clear text‑based conversations. You’ll ensure customers feel seen and ready for next steps, connecting with them one message at a time, and handing them off to our Senior Sales team members with clean, well‑documented next steps.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Claim and respond to new customer leads within 15 minutes of their request.
• Use internal tools such as our quoting tool and Google Maps to map out property lines.
• Personalize messages by understanding the customer’s needs and using your own voice.
• Ask smart questions to clarify needs based on what customers have already told us; some considerations to present:

• Do you need a gate?
• Can you walk me through who and what would be moving through this space?
• Think of pets, lawn mowers, vehicles, or other types of equipment, so that we can better design your gate size, materials and security specifications.

• Schedule remote video estimates for customers with our Sales team.
• Keep tools like Front, Slack, and Pipedrive updated for seamless handoffs to other members of the Sales team.
• Stay organized and proactive with follow‑ups.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills and Experience

• Consultative Sales or Project Management / Project Scoping skills.
• Natural curiosity and proactive question‑asking: you’re able to infer information based on minimal context or visual clues and aren’t afraid to dig deeper when something doesn’t add up.
• Excellent written English; comfortable mirroring tone and style.
• Tech‑savvy, able to juggle multiple tools.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Emotionally intelligent communicator.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in customer success or pre‑sales.
• Familiarity with Slack, Front, and / or Pipedrive.
• Dual‑monitor setup.

What You’ll Need

Location & Availability

• Monday through Sunday, 7 AM Eastern Time to 8 PM Pacific Time.
• Shift: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, scheduled somewhere within the window above.
• Weekend Work: Expect some weekend shifts. We balance capacity, so your 5 working days may include Saturday and/or Sunday.

What We Offer

USD $9 / hour. Paid weekly via Upwork.

Bootcamp

A 2‑week, fully‑paid, immersive training program featuring 1‑on‑1 mentoring, hands‑on practice, and teamwork to set you up for success; followed by a 4‑week trial period after graduation.
