A leading global company is seeking a Material Productivity Leader for a one-year contract in Mexico. The role focuses on driving strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and manage project deliverables in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years in relevant fields, strong project management skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. This position offers opportunities to influence and lead productivity projects for growth.

Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing or Supply Chain areas.
  • 3+ years proven experience working in Project Management. PMP certification is desirable.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish – business proficient (written and oral).
  • Strong Project Management knowledge.

Responsabilidades

  • Establish relations with key stakeholders and lead executive presentations.
  • Drive project timelines, deliverables, budget, quality and KPIs.
  • Lead productivity workshops for new ideas and business cases.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project execution issues.

The Material Productivity Leader (1 year contract) provides strategic direction and is responsible to develop, lead, and execute all the initiatives associated with technical productivity in the plant.

  • Initiatives include insource, outsource, change of supplier, quality & value engineering changes, supply base optimization and supply risk mitigation among others.
  • Build and support a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas that secure productivity year over year.
  • Coach the procurement organization in the project management/agile best practices.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Establish relations with key stakeholders and lead executive presentations with senior leadership. Communicate results and be accountable for plant productivity financials.
  • Drive and ensure project timelines, deliverables, budget, quality, critical activities and other important KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are within expectations and forecast.
  • Lead productivity workshops to increase pipeline of new ideas and business cases for future projects opening.
  • Development of solid business cases to mature productivity ideas and convert them into projects.
  • Perform risk management to identify and minimize issues in program/project execution, leading discussions and tracking of action plans with proper individuals.
Qualifications
  • University / College degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or equivalent. MBA is desirable.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing or Supply Chain areas.
  • +3 years proven experience working in Project Management. PMP certification is desirable.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Processes.
  • Experience implementing and leading Agile. Scrum Master Certification is desirable.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish – business proficient (written and oral)
  • Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, results oriented.
  • Availability to travel Internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa)
Tech Skills
  • Supplier Chain knowledge, Supplier Management, Negotiation , Market analysis, Cost Modeling, Inventory Management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Material).
  • Strong Project Management knowledge
  • Financial acumen.
  • Internal Cost and Budget Management knowledge
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proficient in Database Management
  • Experience with SAP environment is a plus.
