This role ensures high availability of critical systems, networks, and services, both on-premises and on the cloud, with a strong focus on production continuity and reliability.
The position leads a team of IT support professionals, managing daily operations, incident response, and service delivery to ensure consistent, efficient, and high‑quality IT support across the site. The IT Supervisor works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Corporate IT to align local infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and IT–OT integration with global standards and business requirements.
This role is expected to balance hands‑on technical work with people leadership, driving continuous improvement, standardization, and the implementation of modern technologies that enhance reliability, security, and productivity in the manufacturing environment.

  • Plan, prioritize, and supervise IT operations and maintenance activities to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient manufacturing systems and infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, virtualization, telephony and connectivity).
  • Manage manufacturing IT infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WiFi, industrial networks, firewalls, Active Directory / Azure AD, virtualization platforms) and ensure 24/7 availability of mission‑critical systems.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate the local IT support team, assigning priorities, monitoring performance, and managing capacity and budget.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Corporate IT to understand current and future requirements, define solutions, and support IT–OT integration for production systems (MES, test stations, scanners, printers, industrial PCs).
  • Implement and maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls (including ISO 27001, backup/restore, DR/BCP, endpoint protection, EDR/XDR, and access control) and perform regular risk and security assessments.
  • Oversee incidents, problems, and change management activities, ensuring timely resolution, communication with stakeholders, and adherence to SLAs and IT service management processes.
  • Manage IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, migrations, cloud adoption, and new technology deployments, coordinating vendors, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures, and promote continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of best practices within the IT organization.
  • Oversee and coordinate structured cabling, network drops, and physical infrastructure required for manufacturing equipment, including layout changes, relocations, and production‑line expansions.
Required Skills
  • Strong overall technical understanding of infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and manufacturing IT systems, with the ability to coordinate experts and make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on root cause, long‑term fixes, and prevention of recurring issues.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate IT support staff in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Corporate IT, and external vendors.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and customer service, especially when dealing with production‑impacting incidents.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and make decisions quickly during critical events.
  • High level of organization, discipline, and attention to detail, including documentation and follow‑up.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with willingness to adopt new technologies, tools, and best practices that enhance reliability, security, and efficiency.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems, virtualization platforms, networking, and hybrid identity environments (Active Directory / Azure AD).
  • Experience managing or supervising IT support teams, including workload planning and performance management.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting manufacturing systems, industrial PCs, scanners, printers, and IT–OT integrated equipment (preferred).
  • Experience with cybersecurity controls, endpoint security tools, and basic compliance requirements such as ISO 27001.
  • Practical experience leading or contributing to IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, or technology deployments.
