A leading insurance and risk management company in Mexico City is seeking a National Marine Adjuster to oversee cargo operations and inspect damaged ships. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience. This role involves working outdoors and handling physical demands, providing vital assessments of shipping operations.

Formación

  • Five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Ability to handle work-related stress and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

  • Oversees loading and unloading of cargo from ships.
  • Inspects damaged ships to determine cause and amount of damage.

Conocimientos

Good oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Good customer service skills
Good organizational skills

Educación

INT- National Marine adjuster Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees loading and unloading of cargo from ships and other forms of transit to document damages as they are loaded and/or unloaded.
  • Inspects damaged ships to determine cause of the damage and amount of damage resulting from collisions or motor failures.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day.
  • Must have continual use of manual dexterity
