About the Company We are a global Tier 1 automotive supplier dedicated to delivering world-class components to major OEMs. Our San Luis Potosí plant is a critical hub in our North American operations, with a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, and workforce development.
Position Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the plant’s operational goals, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a high-performance, employee-centric culture. This role oversees all HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and labor/legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the HR department and serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership.
Manage all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention for both direct and indirect labor.
Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws (LFT), company policies, and applicable standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 45001).
Develop and maintain a positive labor climate; manage union relationships (if applicable).
Drive employee engagement initiatives, internal communication, and performance management programs.
Oversee training and development programs to support workforce capability and growth.
Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination in alignment with corporate guidelines.
Handle workplace investigations and employee relations issues with confidentiality and professionalism.
Collaborate with corporate HR teams on strategic HR initiatives, audits, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
6+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Solid knowledge of Mexican labor laws and regulatory compliance.
Experience managing HR in the automotive or industrial sector is strongly preferred.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and workforce planning.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Working in a unionized environment or experience managing collective labor agreements (if applicable).
Familiarity with HRIS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Workday).
Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environments.
