Your Role at Vantive

The ERP Functional Finance Lead is responsible for the JD Edwards ERP system modules that manage and automate financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards, and will drive system enhancements, troubleshooting, and provide functional support for optimal financial management. The Lead will collaborate with third-party support and delivery teams to implement solutions that streamline financial operations.

Vantive recently divested from a larger company. The ERP Functional Finance Lead will gather, document, understand, and, in some cases, reverse-engineer the previous owner’s systems and processes. The candidate will play a key role in cloning current applications to stand up a new technology landscape that allows Vantive to operate separately from the previous owner’s systems and exit from the Transition Services Agreements (TSA). This is an opportunity to join a newly formed company and contribute to healthcare industry improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Work with the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) and technology teams to ensure business needs are understood and JD Edwards Finance solutions meet those needs.
  • Serve as the JD Edwards Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Job Costing, and Cost Accounting.
  • Ensure Finance processes meet compliance and regulatory requirements; monitor regulatory and security requirements for JD Edwards Finance to ensure compliance and protection.
  • Participate in the Clone IT and Own IT program to ensure cloned applications are functioning as expected.
  • Lead the lifecycle of JD Edwards Finance tasks with the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Technology, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of Finance processes within JD Edwards.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system solutions; work with stakeholders to understand needs.
  • Partner with third-party support and delivery teams to resolve issues and deliver timely system enhancements and support.
  • Configure and support JD Finance modules (chart of accounts, P&L mapping, cost center hierarchy, GL mappings, transactions, and entity setup).
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and tools to monitor KPI-related Finance operations (month-end close, reconciliations, reporting accuracy, tax compliance, cash flow, and inventory profitability).
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend best practices to streamline financial operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors with other business systems.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support to ensure effective system adoption.
  • Manage system upgrades and enhancements related to Finance functions in JD Edwards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by using cloned applications to develop more efficient, scalable, and adaptable solutions.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to meet project goals and maintain high-quality standards.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience with JD Edwards ERP, specifically in Finance and related modules (AP, AR, GL, Manufacturing Accounting, PDM).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business information systems, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Finance processes with hands-on experience in system configuration and support.
  • Accounting knowledge to bridge IT and Finance discussions.
  • Proven ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot JD Edwards systems and integrations.
  • Experience with JD Edwards 9.2 or later is highly preferred.
  • Advanced English communication; ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience working with third-party support and delivery teams to drive solutions and ensure timely delivery.
  • Project management experience is a plus, especially ERP implementations or upgrades.
  • Experience in cloning and owning applications is a plus for improving operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, intercompany, and multi-currency setup is desirable.
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment and manage senior stakeholders globally.
  • Experience in regulated environments (privacy/compliance) and design thinking is preferred.
