A leading cloud solutions company in Ciudad de México is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure focusing on public cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience, strong proficiency in major public cloud platforms, and familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools. This role offers an opportunity to shape cloud capabilities and provide mentorship to junior team members.

Formación

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more public cloud platforms.
  • Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, focusing on public cloud
solutions. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly in public clouds, will be pivotal in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud-based systems. Familiarity with OpenStack, containers, and Kubernetes will be highly desirable as we continue to expand our cloud capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud infrastructure requirements and solutions.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network, and application performance.
  • Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth application deployments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, monitoring, and proactive scaling of cloud resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and share your cloud expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in [relevant field]; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with OpenStack is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud and networking environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified, Azure Certified, Google Cloud Professional, etc.) are a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-evolving technology landscape.
