Job Summary

We are looking for our next Business Development Manager; a visionary and strategic growth leader is not merely a revenue chaser but a market creator. This role is designed for professionals who thrive on identifying untapped opportunities, building long-term value, and architecting the future of business expansion. Unlike traditional sales roles, this position demands a mindset shift—from closing deals to opening doors. The ideal candidate is a builder, not just a closer. They possess the ability to think beyond quarterly targets and instead focus on sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and market innovation. This is a role for someone who sees white space and envisions possibility. This position reports to the Business Development Director. This position is based on Polanco, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City. You may be required to travel 30% approximately of your time. Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As a Business Development Manager, you will oversee:

  • Strategic Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities.
  • Pipeline Creation: Develop and nurture high-value business pipelines from scratch, focusing on long‑term scalability.
  • Partnership Development: Forge strategic alliances that drive mutual growth and unlock new revenue channels.
  • Opportunity Mapping: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover trends and emerging needs.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Executive teams to align growth strategies.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in strategic dialogues with stakeholders.
We believe you have
  • Bachelor's/engineering degree in business administration, marketing, industrial engineering or related. Master’s degree is valuable.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
  • Nice to have valid U.S. VISA.
  • 5‑10 years of experience in business development, commercial sales and marketing strategies.
  • Desirable experience in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry, B2B business to consumer products or retail industries.
  • Experience in food and beverages industries (desirable knowledge in food, pet food protein, alcohol, hydration and milk derivates categories).
  • Experience in strategy management, dealing with high‑level executives among internal and externals, developing and participating in business strategy planning.
  • Software knowledge: Excel, Power BI, Salesforce, SAP, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Be proactive, highly motivated and self‑directed collaborator.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to tell stories and influence, articulating vision, value, and opportunities for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Long‑term and business hunter mindset with a proven passion for achieving new and relevant deals.
