A global marketing agency located in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead the adaptation of marketing campaigns for the North American and LATAM region. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams and ensure creatives meet cultural and regulatory standards while maintaining brand consistency. Responsibilities include overseeing operations, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality control. Formación

Overview

An Account Director who is responsible for overseeing the adaptation of global marketing campaigns for the North American & LATAM region. This role ensures that creative assets, messaging, and brand guidelines are localized effectively to meet the cultural, linguistic, and regulatory needs of specific markets while maintaining brand consistency. The ideal candidate combines account management and creative expertise to manage cross-functional teams and ensure campaigns resonate with regional audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Team Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Producers’ team in NA & LATAM timezone, ensuring smooth workflow and effective collaboration.
  • Ensure that Producers accurately complete all internal and external status reports.
  • Maintain the organization and order of asset library, working, and producers’ folders.
  • Assign appropriate team members to projects based on skills and project requirements.
  • Track and approve holiday requests for Producers.
  • Lead the evaluation and personal development of Producers by setting clear targets and conducting regular one-on-one meetings, as well as annual performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new Producers joining the team.
  • Provide the view on expanding & reshaping the team according to business needs.
  • Campaign Adaptation Management:
  • Lead the adaptation of global advertising campaigns for regional markets, including digital, social, print, TV, and OOH (out-of-home) channels.
  • Partner with global creative agencies and local market teams to localize content, messaging, and visuals.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for regional adaptation projects. Be ready to roll up their sleeves & manage projects by themselves if there’s a need.
  • Ensure all regional assets are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Track project performance and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure all assets in regional campaigns come through a meticulous QC process including Clearance if there is a need.
  • Ensure the final output aligns with brand guidelines and maintains creative integrity.
  • Global Involvement:
  • Participate in global initiatives related to the accounts (QBR, etc).
  • Participate in RFI preparation & pitch presentations when need be.
  • Conduct retro sessions to identify learnings for future improvements.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of global and regional advertising practices.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate business goals into clear execution plans across markets, channels, and teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage cross-cultural teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions.
  • Be open to facing new challenges in areas you may not yet be familiar with.
  • Knowledge of media channels and formats across different regions.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in advertising.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field would be an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an advertising agency or global brand.
  • Experience working with global and regional teams across different time zones.
  • Proficiency in various tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday, Figma) would be an asset.

  • Positive feedback from the Client, high KPIs accomplishment.
  • Adherence to brand guidelines and local regulations.
