Overview
The Sleep Center Technician, working under the direction of the Medical Director and the Sleep Center Coordinator, initiates and completes Polysomnographic studies, applies electrodes and physiologic sensors, calibrates and adjusts polysomnograph instrumentation, and administers oxygen and titrates continuous positive airway pressures. The technician is responsible for monitoring patients throughout PSG sleep study, recognizing sleep, cardiac and respiratory abnormalities to determine and implement additional procedures as necessary.
