We are seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer who is a Python expert, hands-on developer, and eager to tackle the challenges of scaling systems for hundreds of customers. You are interested in new technologies, love Python, and consider yourself a technical geek, but are hands-on. You jump on POCs to verify your ideas, connect with other team members, and are smart in delivering results. You consider yourself highly analytical, great at solving problems, and believe that others can learn from you.

1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
2. Participate in the direction of application architecture
3. Concept and deliver entirely new core features of the application, making the architecture behind those scalable and reusable
4. Maintain code quality across the organization, bringing in your experience to develop a large application
5. Implement all user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
6. Identify bottlenecks or bugs and devise solutions
7. Work in an agile environment with cross-disciplinary teams

1. Excellent and in-depth understanding of Python syntax, AWS, and Git
2. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
3. Experience with modern applications and test frameworks
4. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Mocking, and ORMs; GraphQL is a plus
5. A knack for writing clean, readable code
6. Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
7. Ability to create database schemas that support business processes
8. Proficient with code versioning tools (git)
9. Familiarity with development tools like pip, virtualenv
10. Familiarity with continuous integration
11. Experience with cloud automation is a benefit
12. Familiarity with virtualization tools like Docker and/or Kubernetes is a benefit
