Eurochiller Srl, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is a leading European designer and manufacturer of customized chillers and thermoregulation units, with a specific focus on plastic applications with a full in-house design, assembly, and testing activities.

The company has two fully-certified production sites located in North of Italy and Slovakia.

Eurochiller is now looking for a new Project Engineer Electrical & Controls based in the Italian Site in Castello D’Agogna – PV.

Job Description

In this role, you are a team member acting as project electrical & control engineer inside of chiller projects from concept to production. You report the overview and status of the projects to the product development team leader. Your most important responsibilities are supporting the projects by bringing together and analyzing the input for the different technical aspects. This you do by:

• Designing and developing electrical systems, including circuits, wiring diagrams, and components, for various projects.
• Creating detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and drawings using industry-standard software.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Creating technical specifications, instructions, and tests for the Mk5 program.
• Software creation, implementation, and simulation of tests for PLC programs in collaboration with external studios inside the group.
• Coordinating prototype tests on the control side and performing bench tests as part of the test program in collaboration with external studios inside the group.
• Supporting the planning of projects regarding software development with external studios inside the group.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into new products or systems.
• Participating in product development from concept to production, including prototyping and testing.
• Identifying and selecting appropriate components and materials for electrical designs.
• Conducting testing and validation of electrical and control systems to ensure functionality and performance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues, making design modifications as needed.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation and changes.
• Preparing technical reports, specifications, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Creating Bill of Materials (BOM) and providing support for procurement and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluating and analyzing the cost of electrical components and systems.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggesting design optimizations.
• Ensuring projects are completed within budget constraints.

You take initiative and cooperate on continuous improvement of the new product development and the engineering process in general.

Experience Requirements

• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or minimum technician degree with comparable, sound work experience in electrical engineering.
• You possess a high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and the desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Experience in PLC controls is a plus.
• Experience in an R&D environment is a plus.
• Experience with chiller technology is a plus.

Knowledge

Fluent in English. Good command of Italian.
A good general technical knowledge.
PLC programming background.
