Aufgaben
As a member of thyssenkrupp nucera Erection & Commissioning Hub, the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor will assist the Site Management Team in executing E&I works on Green Hydrogen and Chlor-Alkali plants, from erection to final commissioning and start-up. Your activities include:
In the office:
- Review site project work packages: SoW, site instructions, installation manuals, risk analysis & safety plans, ensuring compliance with standards and client specifications.
- Study project documentation, prepare detailed reports on site changes, and collaborate with engineering offices.
- Define erection strategies and schedules with project and commissioning managers, ensuring adherence to contracts.
At site:
- Inspect and evaluate delivered items, identify issues, and report them promptly.
- Work closely with the project team to develop solutions and resolve problems timely.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for E&I installation.
- Manage installation and testing of electrical systems and instrumentation.
- Ensure compliance with factory and site inspection test plans, and perform FAT & SAT.
- Supervise calibration, functional checks, loop checks, and testing.
- Troubleshoot E&I systems and software issues.
- Perform system walk-downs, line checks, and punch-list closures.
- Supervise installation of PLC, DCS, ESD hardware/software, and networks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare technical reports.
- Guide and support the NCA team on-site, fostering a positive work environment.
Main Responsibilities and Contents
- Ensure safety at all activities, promote risk assessment, and manage work permits.
- Act as the focal point for NCA's E&I activities on site, liaising with engineering, management, and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of activities.
- Participate in meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve issues.
- Lead and direct the E&I team, including vendors.
- Coordinate closely with site and commissioning managers for smooth execution.
Rights/Authorities
- Instruct NCA/subcontractor teams.
- Make daily decisions to ensure schedule progress.
- Negotiate and agree on installation changes with the client.
- Resolve technical issues or disputes, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
Profil
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong electrical and/or instrumentation supervision background, with a university degree or comparable qualification.
- Experience with high, medium, and low voltage systems and controls is a plus.
- At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in construction, oil & gas, chemical industry, or power plants, preferably in electrolysis.
- Experience managing diverse teams and subcontractors.
- Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system validation.
- Ability to interpret electrical and control installation plans and diagrams.
- Fluent in English; German, Italian, or other European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel and relocate if needed.
- High attention to HSE topics, troubleshooting skills, and IT proficiency.
