A local initiative in Gerace is seeking an IVY volunteer to support the Interreg project 'CAROUSEL', focused on creating a marketplace for up-cycled products. The volunteer will engage the community through outreach and awareness initiatives. Responsibilities include creating content, mapping stakeholders, and documenting activities with photos and videos. This role requires English proficiency (B2 level). Financial support is 31.76 euros per day. The position starts in January for 6 months.

MUNICIPALITY OF GERACEis looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project "CAROUSEL -Creating A maRketplace fOr Up-cycled productS sEcond Life", under the Interreg Programme "Interreg IPA Adrion".

The objective of the Interreg project "CAROUSEL" is to create a "Marketplace of up-cycled products" by piloting approaches and solutions that increase the level of circular lifestyles in small villages and leads to behavioural changes of citizens, enterprises and local public authorities.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• support local outreach, awareness-raising, and the visibility of the new Gerace Creative Reuse Hub;
• help design and implement communication initiatives aimed at residents, artisans, local community and SMEs to promote: circular lifestyles, the concept of upcycling, the opportunities offered by the new Hub, and the Marketplace;
• prepare short social media posts (Instagram/Facebook), help to create simple visuals and storytelling content, record short interviews or reels during events or workshops or during the hub activities;
• assist in mapping local stakeholders, prepare short presentation materials or profiles of local artisans, SMEs and designers, help coordinate communication between the Hub and community members;
• take photos and short videos of the upcycled objects being produced, help create product descriptions and storytelling for the Marketplace upload, and support the preparation and communication of the Pop-Up events.

Other information:

Financial support of: 31.76euros per day (week-end and holidays included).

Location: Gerace, Italy.

Start and duration: January, for 6 months.

Languages*: English (B2).

*Please be aware that the languages mentioned are the minimum level of command required.
