Profilo

Firmware Engineer

MISSION

The Firmware Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of software embedded in hardware systems for controlling key components such as microcontrollers, microprocessors, sensors, and communication modules. By providing efficient and reliable firmware solutions, the Firmware Engineer ensures the high performance, stability and scalability of electronic devices, actively supporting continuous innovation and product advancement. The role requires regular travel to Germany for approximately two weeks per month over a period of one to two years.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development

• Design and develop firmware using C or C++ for embedded systems.
• Analyze and understand device specifications and system requirements to develop suitable firmware architectures and solutions.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve firmware bugs or functional issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of firmware design processes and development practices.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and firmware.

Testing & Debugging

• Design and execute test procedures to identify the root causes of technical software issues.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and software fixes based on test results.
• Perform comprehensive verification and validation of the developed firmware to ensure compliance with functional requirements and technical specifications.
• Document test results and support quality assurance efforts to guarantee firmware reliability and performance.

KNOW-HOW

• Proven experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++.
• Solid understanding of embedded architectures, microcontrollers, and peripheral interfaces.
• Experience with debugging tools, test frameworks, and hardware testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment.
