About the job

It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will help in the overall day to day F&B operation. A long-term outlook will be determined. The incumbent will help create a pleasant dining environment and experience for guests. As Waiter/ess, you will responsible for the following duties:

• To consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service at all times.
• To demonstrate a pride in workplace and a high level of commitment.
• Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars and Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
• Provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
• Assist Guest courteously and efficiently
• Set up tables as per the standard
• To suggest and correctly take customer food and beverage order with up selling technique
• Enter all sales in POS without errors. Double check list of items before “sending”.
• Communicate with Kitchen for any guests’ special request and dietary requirements
• To prepare the pantry and side station assigned with sufficient Mise en Place
• To maintain the back of the house neat, tidy, clean and safe
• Make sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it.
• Responsible for cash float and cashiering
• Continuously monitor his/her section for maximum guest’s satisfaction
• Set up tables according to reservation
• To deliver the correct order to the table
• To assist daily, weekly and monthly inventory
• Clear tables between courses through out the meal
• To wish each and every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming
• To fully inform and aware about all information connecting to Food and Beverage outlets and Mandarin Oriental Jakarta/Group generally
• To maintain all Hotel’s assets

As Waiter/ess, we expect from you:

• Reading, writing and verbal proficiency in English.
• Verbal proficiency in Mandarin language.
• Have a minimum of 2-year experience in waitress and hostess daily assignments preferably in luxury environment.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
• Be a self-motivator and motivator of others
• Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
• Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management.
• Have excellent communication and organization skills
• Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest
• Have the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner
• Have excellent attention to details and service knowledge
