We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Specialist (remote, based in Germany) to establish and execute strategies for acquiring new accounts and growing existing ones to meet and exceed revenue goals. The role demands strong technical credibility in spatial technologies, business acumen, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. The specialist will report to the GM of EMEA.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical competency to discuss Element Biosciences’ capabilities and product offerings with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and government customers.
  • Develop and execute strategies for new customer acquisition and account growth to exceed revenue targets.
  • Apply analytical approaches to solve customer issues and identify opportunities.
  • Present tailored solutions during negotiations to create win‑win outcomes.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with teams to drive revenue opportunities.
  • Manage pre‑sale customer relationships through long‑term business strategies.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of multi‑omic applications (NGS, spatial, cytometry) and a strong network in biotech and pharma.
  • Communicate strategic business plans effectively to internal teams.
  • Develop and manage regional strategic sales plans with strong prospecting and closing skills.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction commitments are performed and improved.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Customer Services, and local sales staff to align activities.
  • Maintain Salesforce.com (SFDC) data accurately and in compliance with company policies.
Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree (Biology/Genetics) required; Ph.D. preferred.
  • 3+ years of commercial sales/business development experience or equivalent laboratory experience with customer interaction.
  • Strong foundation in Genetics and Molecular Biology; preferred knowledge of NGS, genotyping, spatial, and cytometry technologies.
  • Established relationships with decision makers and researchers in biotech and pharma.
  • Demonstrated strategic sales skills and account growth success.
  • Effective presentation skills to customers, peers, and management.
  • Multilingual in English, German, and French (at least two of three languages).
Physical Requirements
  • Extensive local and regional travel (50‑70% of time) for field work, customer meetings, and trade shows.
  • Frequent lifting of boxes up to 20 pounds.
Location & Travel
  • Domestic and international travel up to 50%.
  • Remote role based in Germany.
Job Type & Compensation
  • Full‑time / Exempt.
  • Base compensation varies with location, qualifications, and experience.
