Manage Finance & Controlling for Manufacturing Site to comply with Abbott principle/policy & continuous improvement strategy.
Responsibilities
- Member of Site Leadership Team and partner with Operation team to build long‑term plan for Site, including continuous improvement and investment.
- Lead Financial forecast cycle (LBE): yearly Standard Costing process, P&L (Volume, Opex, Others), Cash flow (Inventory, AP), CAPEX, Saving Projects to meet Company/Site financial targets.
- Lead Finance monthly process: best forecast for financial results; ensure month‑end closing in‑line with best forecast.
- Submit all actual reports on‑time/ high quality as per Abbott internal system. Reconcile & review all operation actual results with related teams (Regional/Site Directors/Budget Owners) and define actions needed to deliver target, ensuring high forecast accuracy vs LBE.
- Lead financial analysis (yearly/ad hoc): propose action plan for Site Director/Regional to improve Site performance (internal/external benchmarking, insight for improvement, etc.). Support Site Business Excellent (BEX) for saving projects calculation, status update in Savings system to ensure real savings are reflected in P&L.
- Support financial data/calculation for Site key projects: new product launch, ROI for new Capital investment per Abbott standard request; other ad hoc data requests by Corporate, Regional team. Site controlling: provide proper check, guidance, approval for Purchase – Payment and other operational activities per Approval Matrix to ensure do‑the‑right‑thing culture, cost controlling and document compliance with internal (Abbott policy) and external requests (Tax).
- Define risks and process improvement for operation process at Site to meet Abbott’s Policies and Value.
- Support with data, document & explanation whenever Site has Internal/External Audit. Other tasks may be assigned and aligned from time to time.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Set and monitor targets for individuals in the team to ensure high performance management.
- Provide guidance, coach, motivate team members to deliver business and personal growth targets; maintain succession plan and address future staffing issues proactively.
- Ensure team activities comply with Company Business Code of Conduct and all local applicable laws within the scope of function responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree related to Accounting & Finance.
- ACCA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A Manager role, preferably in a manufacturing site.
- Experience with Standard Costing process, Operation finance (LBE, month‑end closing, Opex, Capex, Inventory/AP management), Saving projects.
- Qualified Chief Accountant or ACCA; ERP (SAP) Key user is a plus.
- Leadership and ownership, able to work with minimal supervision, self‑motivation, self‑learning ability.
- Willing and able to work under pressure.
- Team‑player, willing to work closely with staff from other functions.
- Storytelling, able to identify risk as financial impact and propose action/mitigation.
- Fluently in oral and written English (to communicate with regional team).
- Local language required.
- Computer skills: MS Office.
