Job description

Rush Street Interactive (NYSE: RSI) is a market leader in online casino and sports betting, currently operating real‑money gaming with our brands: BetRivers.com, PlaySugarHouse.com, and RushBet.co. We’re building bridges between online, social and land‑based gaming businesses to create amazing, integrated experiences that keep players in the game.

The Senior Frontend Platform Engineer role focuses on building the systems, tools, and pipelines that enable engineers to deliver high‑quality software more efficiently and reliably. This is not a product feature development role. Instead, the Frontend Platform Engineer will work at the intersection of tooling, infrastructure, and developer experience to improve the effectiveness and velocity of engineering teams working in a large‑scale monorepo environment, creating cleaner, faster, and more resilient workflows, robust automation and reliable pipelines essential to productive software development.

What You’ll Do:

Developer Experience & Tooling

  • Identify friction points in frontend workflows and design automation solutions to remove them.
  • Own and evolve tooling across our client monorepo using technologies like Vite and Nx.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineers to help them use internal tools effectively.
  • Design and optimize frontend‑specific CI/CD workflows for speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Extend CI/CD pipelines with capabilities such as preview app deployments, Lighthouse CI, Storybook, and static asset analysis.
  • Collaborate with platform teams to build standardized, scalable pipeline templates and integrations.

Cross‑functional Enablement

  • Partner with product engineering teams to identify friction points in build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Promote adoption of best practices through internal education, technical guidance, and documentation.
  • Act as an advocate for continuous improvement and operational excellence in frontend development.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Deep understanding of frontend build systems and tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack, Rollup, Nx).
  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), with a track record of building or maintaining pipelines.
  • Background as a frontend engineer with a focus on developer productivity, tooling, or infrastructure.
  • Excellent debugging and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem‑solving.
  • Experience working in and maintaining large‑scale frontend monorepos, preferred.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), preferred.
  • Familiarity with developer experience metrics and a methodical approach to continuous improvement, preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining internal developer tools used at scale, preferred. #LI‑HYBRID #LI‑PROMOTE

  • Creativity – we are open to new ideas of how we can be better

  • Top‑notch professionals who are passionate about what they do
  • People‑oriented environment and supportive atmosphere
